Like all good ideas, Locpin was born of necessity. The father and son creators, Rob and Guy Davenport, lived in a beautiful but remote house that was impossible to find. Online maps pointed to the middle of an empty field and their postcode covered a distance up to a mile away.
Most delivery drivers couldn’t find them and parcel upon parcel remained undelivered. The pair were convinced there was an easier way to use technology to show their exact location and Locpin was born.

The challenge
CPS required a specialised application for a key client, initially focusing on a limited range of pathology specialisms. However, to expand its market appeal, the solution needed to handle a broader spectrum of clinical tests, apply complex logic to process different sample types, and ensure secure record-keeping. Additionally, CPS sought to streamline operational task management and automate testing procedures while maintaining compliance with stringent data security regulations.
The main challenge was to understand and replicate the intricate clinical processes digitally, thereby improving end-to-end workflow efficiency and accuracy.
The solution
Geeks Ltd engaged with CPS through a detailed discovery phase, leveraging VisualSpec™, our award-winning software, to develop interactive wireframes. These prototypes allowed stakeholders to experience the conceptual solution before development commenced.
